I’ve posted these sanderling images as an example of how I frequently end up doing something far removed from what I originally intended. I intended to sit down today and write about Lincolnshire’s famous/infamous grey seal rookeries as it is at this time of year that the crowds descend en masse on parts of the Lincolnshire coast.
However, with limited time and an inability to concisely sum up my feelings about this particular location/the ethics of willdife photography/photographers occasionally incomprehensibly appalling behaviour I am effectively turning tail and instead posting some pictures of these pretty litttle waders.
For the patient among you there is a train of thought here! I went to Lincolnshire once last year with the intention of photographing the seals and spent the entire day working with the sanderlings. A weak link granted but at least it buys me a bit more time to get my thoughts straight about the seals!

A seal of approval.
I’ll get my coat .
