A Return. CB

Well, hello there! It has been a while since I’ve posted anything here. Behind the scenes, Niall, Paul and I have been discussing the future of the blog and where we want to take it. We all agree that it is worth the effort and we hope that you do too!  In the coming days, we will be working to revitalize the site in ways that will hopefully make it a better resource for those of you who come by often. If there is anything that you would like us to blog on, let us know. We’re always looking for fresh ideas!

My best,
Clay

Personally, I just enjoy reading about what other nature photographers get up to, what they think, how they did things, etc, and being able to join in a discussion now and again. Maybe I’m doing photography by proxy – a kind of escape from the tedium of data analysis and report-writing without leaving the computer – as I can’t get out and do as much as I’d like for myself.

That looks like a Tetracanthagyna dragonfly. A forest stream in Indonesia/Malaysia?

    Hi Annie,

So good to hear from you and glad that you haven’t abandoned us! :-) I’ve taken note of your request and will work to add more content along those lines. Thanks for reading!

    Hi Budak,

I was really pleased to hear that my backyard in South Carolina looks like an Indonesian Forest. I’ve worked really hard (or haven’t) to allow it return to as much of a wild state as possible. The dragonfly is a Widow Skimmer (Libellula luctuosa), which is one of the “King Skimmers.” Thanks for visiting!

oh thanks! silly mistake of mine, being wholly lost with North American odonates. But wide angle shots showing the habitat are rare and telling. The muddy bank was what led me to think it was tropical, though.
